Other than that the kit is awesome, and has a lot of the tools a computer tech would need. There are a few things that I had to upgrade in this kit. The flashlight, solder, and screwdriver (needed a magnetized one), I also added zip ties.
My one wish would be for magnetized tips, especially on the Philips extension. Magnetized tips would go a long way to alleviating that. I purchased this kit for a job I was starting as a field service tech for computers, registers, printers, etc. Whenever I get into cramped quarters my big hands make it very hard to place and control screws, etc. Otherwise, I'm very pleased and use this kit regularly. So far, this kit has been indispensible. I know others have decried the flashlight, but it works fine to me.
Sorry Belkin Amazon's return policy is always outstanding. Amazon is always greatHowever; these are cheap plastic tools made in china. Something you would purchase from Harbor Freight.
for daily use, they don't stand up. I'm a computer technician and I've had this toolkit for 1 month, while some of the tools are more electronics specific, the best part is the case itself.I bought this tool kit after searching the web for about a week looking for one that had all of the items I needed to take apart my mother's laptop and replace the power supply plug.for quick and easy computer repairs, these tools will do.
It has a little white Belkin emblem on the front. So, I added a tube of rosin core solder solder.I normally wouldn't spend my time to come back here to write this, but it's so nice I felt I owed it to Belkin for turning out such a nice tool kit as such a low price. We are shirt and tie consultants. I wasn't excited about the flashlight's appearance compared to the rest of the kit, but it is all plastic, which is safer when working around electronics where there is the potential to short something by accident while checking out a running piece of equipment. What would I change. You never know by pictures until you actually receive it.
It came with a roll of solder wick, but no solder. We want just enough to change a card, swap a mother board, etc. I thought I was missing something, but it doesn't say it does on the box either. I want to see people who do an outstanding job be rewarded.PS: The tools arrived when Amazon said they would. It matches our black leather laptop attaches and looks like a million bucks. They are middle of the road Sears quality and look very nice.
We are in the IT business and I can't think of a better combination for working on PCs. It is fabric, not plastic on the edges with a metal zipper. It comes with batteries for the flashlight, which I didn't use, but will leave them in their shrink wrap for spares. It's about the size of normal sized zippered Bible. The tools aren't Snap-On nor Toho Koki. It is easy to wipe clean.
We don't want to look like Joe tech with a suit case size tool kit and key ring on our belt. The outside is a soft leatherette material covering while the inside is a black plastic which also serves as a stiffener.
